3N MnBi2Te4 Sputtering Target

Description of 3N MnBi2Te4 Sputtering Target

Our 3N MnBi₂Te₄ Sputtering Target solves common difficulties in topological insulator thin‑film research. Many MnBi₂Te₄ targets struggle with volatile Bi and Te elements during sputtering, disrupting the stoichiometric ratio and creating uneven films that ruin your spintronic experimental repeatability. We adopt high-purity raw materials and carefully optimized sintering processes to achieve uniform microstructure and locked‑in chemical composition. It suppresses element evaporation and particle contamination during deposition, making it well suited for topological insulator, quantum transport, and spintronic device studies. Each target passes composition and surface inspection before delivery. Standard sizes are available, and backing plate bonding can be offered for stable chamber operation. Custom shapes and dimensions can also be produced to fit your PVD system. Cut down wasted substrates caused by compositional drift, and spend more lab time collecting consistent test data for your quantum material development.

Features of 3N MnBi2Te4 Sputtering Target

Intrinsic Magnetic Topological Insulator: It possesses inherent magnetism without the need for magnetic element doping; this approach is cleaner than traditional "magnetic doping" methods and reduces impurity scattering.

Layered Structure: The ideal bulk configuration is a seven-layer (SL) structure; however, the surface is prone to "collapse" and reconstruction, transforming into a structure consisting of Mn-doped Bi₂Te₃ quintuple layers (QL) plus a single MnₓBiᵧTe layer.

Instability Factors: The material is inherently metastable and contains a high density of Mn-Bi antisite defects and Te vacancies, posing significant challenges for thin-film growth and the control of physical properties.

Applications of 3N MnBi2Te4 Sputtering Target

Primarily used to fabricate magnetic topological insulator thin films and to investigate phenomena such as the quantum anomalous Hall effect and the axion insulator state; it is a candidate material for spintronics and topological quantum devices.
